What types of child sponsorships are available?

Individual child sponsorship gives you the opportunity to develop a one-on-one relationship with your sponsored child, while your monthly support benefits all the children in your child’s community as well. Individual child sponsors have the opportunity to communicate with their sponsored child via email or postal mail. 

  Lifeline sponsorship is a program where your contributed monthly support is directed to a sponsorship community and you receive updates on one of the children who is benefiting. Lifeline sponsorship differs from individual child sponsorship in that more than one sponsor may be assigned to the same child and you do not correspond directly with that child. Because this sponsorship type reduces operational costs, more of your monthly contribution can be used to support sponsorship programs. This is a great option if you’re interested in learning how an individual child benefits from your sponsorship, but you aren’t able to or interested in corresponding with a child.
